REPORT CARD: 2006 How did your brand do?
There are a few on this website in desperate need of facts when arguing their point. For those, here are some facts... Global market share, R&D spending, it’s all here and you may find some surprises.

For the rest of us, this pulls back the curtain to expose the business wizards of the car world. 0-60 times, passion, safety, reliability... those are all smoke and mirrors in an effort to deliver the real numbers. These numbers.

This seems to be a European study. Hyundai would have been an A or B.
My brands:
BMW-B
SAAB(Under GM)- C

Go Volkswagen!

...

Was this a US only article? Because VW is doing much better elsewhere.

Ford at least got a C, and not a C- like GM.

=====================================

Kind of unfair to say that since this is DCX, not Mercedes.

Would have been nice if this report card showed INDIVIDUAL BRANDS. Instead of DCX for example, it should show Dodge, Chrysler, Smart, MB etc. BMW would be BMW and MINI.

i agree with bmw530 it should be for individual brands and not the parent companies. and this is a report card for the buisness not for consumers. do u like your car company makeing twice as much profit on a car than another car the same price?

i just realized that this is based on improvements for 2000-2006 years. not overal acheivment. so thats why nissan recieved an A with only 5.3% of the global market from a little over 4%. while gm having 13.8% recieved a D for taking a cut from 15%. thats kind of bullshit. i mean when moving from the 5th grade to the 6th grade they dont grade you on how you did on the previous year.
"well little jonny, you only averaged 60% overall on test and homework, but last year you had a 52%. so were going to give you an A+! good job little retard!"

This is all Boll#cks......
What a waste of time reading something that is purely fictional and doesn't get to the nitty griity of individual brands where the real facts lie.
Anyone who takes this table seriously....needs shooting and then some.

Take away all the global car companies in the Sh#t look at the real facts and see what your left with...... appearances can be deceptive.
