Before this year's Monterey Car Week was held some low-level rumors mentioned that Ferrari had planned to host a private event to display the all-new 458 Speciale Spider.

Though we can't confirm that is the name, that is the gist of the vehicle shown.

Following in the footsteps of the 16M Scuderia, a 458 Speciale Spider is a possibility; however, I'd assume Ferrari would say it was built as a celebration of the company's 16th Formula 1 championship.
