Word on the street is suggesting that one of the most storied vehicles may be back for round three. Yeah'p, that's right, the Ford GT may be ready to rock again, but there's a twist.

Alternative fuel power.

According to Auto Express, the new GT would use hybrid power to send extra boost from an electric motor to the front wheels. Considering that Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Tesla are playing with powerful alternative fuel vehicles, it may be just the right time for Ford to bring out the big guns.

However, would an electric or electrically-assisted GT be Awesome or Awful?


It’s take three for the Ford GT! Auto Express has learned that the blue oval is readying an all-new mid-engined supercar – and it’s set to feature hybrid power. 


The model follows on from the original Sixties GT40, as well as the GT, built between 2005 and 2006. It will take aim at Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren by using the most advanced technology available to deliver massive straight-line performance.
