Toyota's Lexus division is always up to something interesting. Though with a lot of automakers it's easy to see the next move, Lexus keeps me guessing a lot of the time. Take, for example, the NF-NX Concept. Where did that come from?!

Anyhow, those who loved the Lexus LFA will be happy to find out that the masterminds behind Lexus aren't going to let that vehicle be a one-act show. It turns out that there are plans for an LFA replacement, it's just a matter of when it will actually show up now.

Autocar recently spoke with two of Lexus' head honchos and it seems one quote places the LF-LC as the next-gen halo car. But, another senior leader seems to deflect that we may have not seen it at all yet.

Bobbing and weaving, they are.

That said, if Lexus' all-new halo car was based on the LF-LC Concept we've previously seen, would you be STOKED or LESS than thrilled?

Haruhiko Tanahashi, the engineer who masterminded the LFA, has hinted that ?a new Lexus halo model could already be in development.

“I have the expectation that car will be launched,” Tanahashi told Autocar. “I personally hope the LF-LC will be built. I think most of Lexus’s concept cars have been turned into production cars..."

"...We want a whole level of real F products with a car like the LFA being at the top of it,” Templin confirmed. “It doesn’t mean we have something on the drawing board..."
