Until an automaker officially announces statistics on a product, you can never be 100 percent sure what is true and what is...speculation. That being said, a new rumor has hit the 'net that concludes what kind of power the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series will be churning out.

While we've watched it slowly undergo development, according to a source via World Car Fans, the SLS Black will make 630 horsepower and shave off three tenths of a second to 60 mph.

In addition, folks are hinting that the Black will look similar to the SLS AMG GT3 vehicle, which isn't too far from what we've seen in development. That's if you DON'T have an eye for detail.

You can expect a new front clip, large side intakes, large diameter wheels with -- we assume -- a carbon ceramic set of brakes, squared-off exhaust tips and a carbon fiber spoiler.

An inside source at Mercedes-Benz has informed WCF that the 2014 SLS AMG Black Series will get 630 HP (463 kW) compared to the standard SLS GT with 591 HP (435 kW). The SLS Black Series should be able to sprint to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds versus 3.7 seconds to 62 mph for the SLS GT.

As for appearance, speculation points to the SLS BLack Series looking very similar to the recently announced SLS AMG GT3 45h Anniversary edition.
