Renault Megane by Fernando Alonso
Fernando Alonso is back at Renault, once again racing for Renault F1 Team. With its “We all feel something special when we buy a new car” baseline, the new international ad campaign has a mischievous, easy-going feel, underlined by the use of the song “Cheek to Cheek”, by Fred Astaire for the TV commercial. I don't get why people keep hating on French cars.

Renault is a company that has always taken risks when it came to styling and these risks have paid off. Come to think of it the French carmakers, notably Citroen and Renault, have been very bold with their styling. What are the results? A lot of their cars have become classics and sought-after collectibles due to their unique style.

Seeing that you're a Toyota fan, name me one car from Toyota that has "bold styling"? The only one I can think of is the Toyota GT from the 1960s - and that car was designed by a German.

The Renault Megane is a beautiful little car. Certainly looks much fresher than what Toyota offers in Europe (Aygo, Avensis, Corolla, Yaris, Auris etc.).

"I'm sorry but this is still THE ugliest car currently in production today."

Even uglier than the Euro Civic Type R?

I think the Megane looks great, and the 225 Cup Trophy (or whatever it's called) version is a real hot hatch. 225 hp and a LSD, it's great!
