Renault’s zero-emissions family option is set to follow the Kangoo in 2011.
The car, which is set to measure 4.7-meters in length, will use Renault-Samsung’s SM3 as a basis. Due to its weight and size, the car will need a bigger battery pack and more power compared to its EV rangemates.
It’s expected to be priced at a little more than €20k. Renault will soon be showing off its smallest La Regie battery cars, the third of the series. It is sized at 3.5 meters and is a two-seater city car. Renault has said that it has a “distinctive and unusual design.” Due to government subsidies, expect the €13k starting price to be halved.
