I think this CGI is a bit too conservative to be an accurate rendering of the next 9-5, but I like the way it is heading.

The welcome return of the wrap-around windscreen is excellent, as to is the SAAB-esque C-pillar slope.

Although expect the REAL thing to be more dynamic and modern looking, as this is just the current 9-5 with tweaks.

A bit sad to read that the next 9-3 and 9-5 will not be made in Trollhättan, Sweden.

I think the Saab brand is under-rated. I like the 9-3 sedan styling as well as the 9-5.

The true Saab doesn't exist anymore. The current cars are mere shadows of what once were quality automobiles. That's sad considering they were cool cars.

Saab is going to just be a bastard of a car since they've reported that the GM parts bin is just going to be dumped over this car.

Another wonderful F'up by GM.

It's too bad. I really liked Saab. Guess I'll just have to go used if I want one.

I like the 9-5, but wished it had shorter front/rear overhangs, a V8 (or a SC-HF-V6 would do), AWD and led the way for future SAAB vehicles.

That said...GM has a ways to go with SAAB. May be use the Zeta platform for a new 9-5 or new flagship sedan. 9-8 maybe. And use the Lambda to replace the 9-7x short-term until the next SRX platform is done.

Somehow ugly and bland simultaneously.

The current 9-5 is depressing. They need to COMPLETELY REDESIGN IT this time.

Saab needs to be bought out by a German company. Imagine Koenigsegg buying out Saab and turning Saab into a exotic inspired brand with full performance lines include Sedan's as well as coupe's. If ONLY.

I wish that every company can go back to their routes and be owned by people or companies that are situated at the auto makers origin. But that will never happen.

"Saab needs to be bought out by a German company. Imagine Koenigsegg buying out Saab ..."

Sorry to be a "besserwisser" but Koenigsegg is not German. It is a Swedish company just as SAAB(sort of ...).

That's an error due to my recent arguments in regards to Lexus vs Germany. I got so used to typing German or Germany.. Arg! sorry folks, and yes I meant Swedish company instead of German.

Yes, I agree. Maybe not by Koenigsegg, but imagine what would happen if Volvo and Saab paired up. Volvo would remain as they are- safe, sleek, and family-oriented. Saab could be the sporty brand. Not an exotic brand, but exclusively small sport coupes and sporty sedans.
