CEO of DaimlerChrysler said he is looking to use his new alliances to double sales outside of North America. Currently DaimlerChrysler sales outside of North America are about 200,000, which the CEO emphasized need to increase substantially. Wall Street Journal is reporting that DaimlerChrysler is in talks with GM on developing a large SUV in order to increase sales.

Talks have been going on for about six months, but the two companies have yet to reach a final decision. The DaimlerChrysler group is already included in many other deals such as a minivan with Volkswagen.
