Because of the dearth of signs of recovery in the auto industry, a senior Honda executive has reduced his estimate for US total industry sales volume from 10.
5 million to 10 million for the business year that ends in March. Reuters reports that executive vice president Koichi Kondo has addressed a news conference and said that the US auto market recovery is more elusive than previously thought.
Honda’s Q2 fiscal 2009 automobile unit sales totaled 838,000 units, down 10.4% year on year.
