There have been cases of Toyotas and Lexus cars accelerating unintentionally in Europe as well.

The useless GOPs are at it again. Everybody already know unintended acceleration is the FAULT of STUPID DRIVERS! It's been proven and documented, don't matter if the car is a Toyota or AUDI. This is why those cases were ignored because all the complaints came from idiots. It's not the same as that GOP regulator who knew Bernie Madoff was scamming people out of billions and let it slide and causing rich folks to commit suicide. Obama will not be able to make us better citizens if we continue to indulge in this kinds of evil lame unproductive mindset.

That is the best looking RX I have seen to date! I love the look of the transparent grill, but the license plate looks a wee bit crooked.

Why no word about Ford's 16 million car recall? How many people died from exploding gas tanks in the Crown Victoria? 19 in 8 years is low compared to how many people in non-Toyota cars died from talking on their cell phone.

Actually, they'd probably sue Toyota for not putting a cellphone jamming device if they could.

Oh well, people will see through the BS as sales will prove.

Also see basically no blame was put on the NHTSA for not blaming Toyota for everything else that's gone wrong in 009's life.

True, but...

...I did some experimenting on my drive home tonight and the NHTSA and complainers are completely full of crap.

1. I easily hit 120km/hr with the gas pedal in my Jeep about 1/4 of the way down.

2. The only time I could get the gas pedal all the way to the floor was passing someone up a hill at 100km/hr.

3. Under hard acceleration, my gas pedal as most was about 3/4 (my estimate) of the way down merging onto the highway from a stop.

What were these people doing that their gas pedals got far enough down they got stuck?

The NHTSA should try doing some testing before carrying out the UAW's demands.

An easy fix would be to tell Toyota to make floormats that are 8" longer so they go all the way back and under the "gas pedal of death" so even if people shove phone books underneath them, the mat has no room to slide further forward. This type of thinking isn't typical of gov't though.

Repeating the same BS articles 9 times in a week doesn't make Toyota any more guilty, the NHTSA any smarter or vindicate stupid drivers who I doubt are completely fault free. Goes back to my argument, if someone doesn't wear a seatbelt properly, is that the car manufacturers fault? People can take the doors off of a Jeep YJ, if they fall out because they're not wearing seatbelts, is that Jeep's fault?
