Report: Toyota Prius is Japan’s best selling vehicle in June

The Toyota Prius was Japan’s best selling vehicle in June, with 22,292 sold units, just-auto reports.

Contributing to this result were the newly introduced government tax breaks and subsidies for the hybrid. It appears that sales will not decline anytime soon since the demand for fuel efficient vehicles continues to rise.

With this record, the Prius has managed to beat even small displacement vehicles, which have engines up to 660 cc. Toyota’s hybrid sales rose 257.8% than during the same month last year. The Prius arrived only in May but looking at Japan’s record during the first six months of the year, the Prius still ended up at the fifth place.

Because 13" rims just screams sporty!

Ugly as sin, subpar interior, questionable Toyota quality, and damages the environment just as much, if not more so than a regular non-hybrid.

Yep! That's methane gas for ya! However, the Toyota Prius Hybrid is king and it is deservedly an icon already. Man you guys ain't seen nothing yet. Wait till Lexus drops that LF-A bomb! You fools(haters) are going to be shamed and no one will feel sorry for you. You can try to spread your poisionous venom all you want in fact, I think it will only cause a reverse affect and help people defect more and more as time goes on.
