Rolls Royce Coupe sold out
The entire first year production of the new Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe, which equates to more than 200 cars, was already allocated for long before the car made its debut at the recent Geneva Motor Show, boasts CEO Ian Robertson. And a majority of those orders, two-thirds to be in fact, were sold to completely new clientele who for many this will be their first ultra-luxury vehicle.
“Two-thirds [of the names] in our early order bank are from non Rolls-Royce owners,” Robertson said.

Hmmm, why exactly are you on a car site then?
Now take another look at this car: It is only made in small numbers, most examples will do very little miles per year, so who cares what Co2 it produces?
If you have something against wealthy people, perhaps you should continue your rantings on a Kia forum.

Yeah, I've gne through all your recent Autospies comments.
They are all off-topic, irrelevant spewings from a Prius owner.
Goodbye!

HA! You're voting for Barack? You buy into his political BS? How old are you, five? I bet you are a Prius driving eco-snob who doesn't even realize how bad the Prius is for the ozone when they produce them, you poor misguided fool.

More rantings from a lunatic. You embody all the thought process of a true fascist. Grow up, get a job,a life, and get educated. Makes me worry about all those 'overly emotional' Obama supporters.
Anyway, this is a great auto, have seen the Drophead and it is stunning. Perfect for the select few who can afford one. And I would never begrudge anyone enjoying their success .

I can only figure that this ugly coupe sells well based on snob appeal. The interior is nicer than the exterior, but still not nice enough for me to buy one even if I had the money.
For my money the Bentley Brooklands would be my huge, luxurious, obscenely expensive coupe of choice. Yes, I know the platform is obsolete, but that engine is phenomenal! Bentley have improved the suspension, steering and brakes over the Arnage, so the Brooklands probably handles better than the Phantom. The materials and build quality are just as good as the Rolls. And the Brooklands is gorgeous inside and out!

Are you insane?
I can get over the ostentation of the Phantom, but the Drophead Coupe I find rather hideous. There is something about its proportions and the interaction of the front window with the roof which I find revolting.
The Brooklands on the other hand is sophisticated and elegant. Perhaps I just like it because I am essentially a WASP and as such grew up with the concept that the flashy ring-on-every-finger principle is gauche and has the foul perverse reeking stench of "nouveau riche", but I find it absolutely beautiful.

Im with you CLKblack. I find the Rolls Royce very tasteful, while the brooklands is ordinary at best. Style is subjective.

You're an idiot. Do you really think that guys like Diddy and 50 Cent made their millions without exploiting the economically depressed?
These guys make songs that glorify and glamorize irresponsible lifestyles which include unsafe sex, drug dealing, drug use, and violence. They make the songs and videos that advocate this behavior without showing any consequences.
Immature youth who buy into this music and these images try their best to emulate these guys. They end up ruining their own lives, going to jail or getting killed because they wanted to be 'gangsta'
Do you think that 50 Cent and Diddy care? Do you think they ever stop to think about the destructive messages that they put out, or do they just want to sell records?
Both 50 Cent and Diddy got themselves rich by perpetuating the stereotype of the black man as an over-sexed, over-stimulated, violent criminal. Those guys are a couple of coons, singing and dancing on stage to the delight of their white masters at the record label.
While he gets rich, poor black men set themselves up for incarceration while they try to be like 50 Cent (carrying guns, selling drugs, etc.), and white people sit back and laugh at us. Grow up. Do something positive for your race instead of singing, dancing, and pontificating in favor of government handouts.
to be honest, I like Obama as a candidate, but many of his most vocal supporters are just complete idiots. Makes me reconsider my position.

coprius, I totally agree with everything you are saying. Why work hard to pay for my own health care when the tax payers will pay for it. Why work hard to send my kids to college when the tax payers will pay it. You think maybe we can get the tax payers to pay for direct TV (with the NFL package, obviously) for every American? Hopefully in time, we will all be able to sit at home all day with no incentive to do anything since the government will make everyone equal... equally poor, fat and lazy.

Exactly, ZBL. Everyone talks about healthcare. I don't have a problem with the healthcare system in America, it works for me. I work very hard and I pay expensive monthly premiums for my health coverage.
It's not fair to me that some homeless, jobless, filthy bum off the streets can walk into a hospital and get the same level of service that i do.
It's not fair that some idiot can stand around making trouble and selling drugs, get himself shot, and then get fixed up while I (as a taxpayer) pick up the bill.
If the goverment just gives everything away for free, then why should anybody work hard to achieve and earn? If you want to live, then you need to work. Period.
This is America. You must pay to play.

Alright, who are the nutcases boosting Coprius when he spews unbelievably absurd thoughts such as the idea the US should be socialist (absolutely not, try reading the Constitution), Bush is a dictator but Chavez, Putin and Castro are just fine (clear sign of delusion) and cars that aren't hybrids should be banned (so much for individual liberty eh?). I didn't realize there were so many 8 year olds on this site. The fact that there isn't a "-12" next to every one of his comments is scary.

There are four different, but in some cases related, kinds of socialists.
1) The intellectual socialist- In light of the past 50 years of the development of economic theory, there is no such thing as the intellectual socialist anymore.
2) The emotional socialist- This type derides the use of the rational and specific theories of government in favor of one that is expedient to those ends which they would see come to fruition.
3) The elitist socialist- This so-called socialist is one who exposes this construct because others do not. He believes that people are inherently base and that those values which are intellectual are those which are not popular. His ethos is detestation of man.
4) The dictator socialist- Perhaps the wisest of all modern socialists, the dictator socialist recognizes what the relatively new field of International Political economy has only come to explicitly state recently- that economics and politics are bound to each other. His aim is nothing less than power absolute, and he recognizes what Hilaire Belloc put rather succinctly: “The control of the production of wealth is the control of human life itself.”
Incidentally, socialism is un-American. The answer why is relatively simple- the foundations of the United States have a very specific philosophical origin. The United States is THE country of the Enlightenment and its language and ideas permeate the foundational documents of this country. The socialist doctrine is diametrically opposed to the ideas of the Enlightenment.

...but not like Jesus. To my knowledge Jesus never said anything about the role of government. Kindness in the Christian religion is not achieved through the force of government, quite the antithesis- it is and must be a choice, an act of volition, that is the result of each individuals right to choose their own salvation.
There are many things I really don't like about the Christian religion (Original Sin) but the last is quite admirable.
