Rolls-Royce Opens in Pakistan
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars celebrated the opening of its first new showroom in Pakistan today. The manufacturer of super luxury motor cars will be exclusively represented in Lahore by Dewan Motors. Further showrooms are planned in Karachi and the capital, Islamabad.

Farooq Mustafa, President and Chief Operating Officer of Dewan Motors, said, “We are honoured to be representing the world’s ultimate automotive brand. We successfully open for business with our first customer order for a Phantom, taken a few weeks ago. The presence of Rolls-Royce in Pakistan is symbolic of the rapid growth taking place in the country”.

For nearly one hundred years, Rolls-Royce has been the icon of motor engineering and design. The name has entered the language as the expression of perfection in a range of endeavours far beyond the motor industry.

The new Rolls-Royce Phantom is entirely in keeping with that long and illustrious heritage yet, at the same time, is totally contemporary. It reflects the timeless values of quality, distinction and authority, combining the best of the past with the best modern design, engineering and technology to re-interpret the character of Rolls-Royce in the 21st century.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Managing Director for Europe and the Middle East, Axel Obermüller, said, “ We are delighted to be working with Dewan Motors, one of the most respected and experienced corporations in Pakistan. We have seen a significant increase in demand for luxury cars in Pakistan and this is an important step in our business development in the region”.

Phantom remains the best selling super luxury car in the world; in 2005 the highest number of Rolls-Royces were sold in the Middle Eastern region for 25 years. Next year a new Rolls-Royce convertible will be launched, joining the current portfolio of Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase.

I saw a Phantom three times in downtown Chicago tonight. One word: monstrous. It weighs more than a Range Rover.

Pakistan is a neighbouring country of India and China.

And i heared eveery vehicle comes there with a 200% tax on the sticker price.

Mean anybody there(in Pakistan)will have to pay 2X the amount for the RR phantom what we pay here.

Rolls what's the sales projection ?

terrorist nation?
the attacks on india are over a disputed piece of land called kashmir. they are not a terrorist nation as you so ignorantly say.

Maybe we should all stick to car stuff since that is one thing we are all passionate about and can find common ground...and we should not offend each other on other levels...there are other blogs for those topics.
