Romney Drives Mustang. Staff prefers imports.
Mitt Romney has driven home his support for American-made cars during his White House bid but the message is running on empty with his top staffers and even his five sons as they motor around in imports.

The parking lot at Romney’s Commercial Street campaign headquarters could be mistaken for a high-end foreign car dealership as staffers drive Lexus SUVs, Mercedes-Benzes, BMWs, Audis and Saabs, many adorned with Mitt Romney campaign stickers.
Romney himself drives a Ford Mustang and his wife has a 2005 Cadillac, but he has been a foreign car aficionado, despite being the son of a Detroit auto magnate.

Records show Romney owned a 1985 BMW and a 1996 Saab Turbo 9000. One GOP insider said Romney treated the classic BMW - his favorite - “like his baby.”

As for Romney’s opponents in the 2008 GOP race, most buy American, including Arizona Sen. John McCain, who has a Cadillac. But former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani owns a 2007 Mercedes-Benz, records show.

Does anyone know what cars the other presidential candidates drive? I heard Obama drives a Chrysler 300C.

The beauty of living in America is that we have the freedom to drive whatever we like.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this scenario. However Obama driving a 300C Hemi, while talking about conserving the environment, I find to be a bit hypocritical.

P.S. Nothing is wrong with buying a SAAB since it supports GM.

John Edwards drives a Cadillac SRX...but wants you and I to drive electric scooters. You know, to save the planet and all. Of course, if you buy carbon credits you can feel "guilt-free" and fly around in a private jet. :)

Hillary rides a ....oh, nevermind.

The writer is a little off on one point he states "Adviser Ron Kaufman, a former strategist for President Bush, drives a $50,000 Mercedes S600. " If such a thing as a $50,000 S600 existed we'd all have one.
