The MKIII-R was originally built to represent the fundamentals of what Roush Performance Engines and Superformance LLC have to offer. The initial plan was to build a one off display car, but the high level of interest afforded the project quickly altered everybody’s mind and the vehicle was quickly scheduled for manufacture. The Special Edition car debuted at the Las Vegas Nevada 2007 SEMA show.
