The Roush/Superformance Special Edition MKIII-R is what you get when you take the most coveted 1965 licensed reproduction Cobra replica and squeeze in an engine made by a company that has far more Ford wins compared to other manufacturers.

The MKIII-R was originally built to represent the fundamentals of what Roush Performance Engines and Superformance LLC have to offer. The initial plan was to build a one off display car, but the high level of interest afforded the project quickly altered everybody’s mind and the vehicle was quickly scheduled for manufacture. The Special Edition car debuted at the Las Vegas Nevada 2007 SEMA show. The MKIII-R demonstrated to the public what it has always wished to witness – the cooperation of two industry leaders to produce the best of both realms, a striking double diamond with the roar of a powerful engine under the hood. A vehicle that is truly pleasurable to every single one of the human senses.
