One aspect of SEMA I didn't realize was how much of a role vintage cars played in this particular auto show. Either that or there has been an explosion of vintage project cars taken to Vegas this year.

From slammed Lincoln Continentals to a Mercury from yesteryear and rat rods, there's a variety of it all. BUT, if I had it my way, I'd probably have to go with the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL "Gullwing" down below.

My God this car is clean. From the interior to the exterior everything looks brand-spankin'-new. In addition, note the two tone paint job with the lipstick outline. This was a project undertaken by Chip Foose for BASF Corporation, which -- as you can tell from the plates -- owns the car.
