SOUND OFF: How Do You Handle a Flat Tire?
We all have had it happen at one time or another. You are driving down the road and there is that squishy feel, or perhaps the tell tale "whomp whomp whomp". Your worst nightmare has come true. You have a flat.

It is a dirty and sometimes dangerous job. Do you suck it up and change it yourself, or do you call AAA or a service to assist?

We bet the answer depends on the car you drive.

I drive a 99 CRV, so the tire is on the back of the vehicle...and this makes it pretty easy to change. I think I would only use AAA if the weather was horrible. They are usually better prepared anyway.

Well, I'm neither a retard, a woman, or someone with time to waste.

Inluding emptying the shopping - My friend and I changed a wheel on my 635 in less than 3 minutes, and were back on our way.

Damn cats eye punctured the tire!!! Michelin TRX 220/55 VR390 too!!!

I bet none of you guys with quattro or traction control actually know how to drive at 85mph with a drive wheel sparking on the road!

You sure about that ??

Ive had a Puncture on the M1 at 147Mph in an SUV and a Blowout on the I-85N in an RS6 at approx 152Mph

Both times survived with the vehicle Intact (Slight Paint Chipoffs around Wheelwells and down the side of the RS6 was all)

From a 1982 Civic to a 2002 X5 I've always changed my tires.

Buying a BMW with run-flats is the real answer here. I already punchered a tire on my 650, but it was no problem...I drove around two day's until I got it replaced.

There is a reason they put a jack and a lug wrench in the car. Plus you can always take your clothes to the cleaners.
