Lighting up forums and news websites for the past week has been the new Competition Package expected to appear on the 2014 BMW M5 and M6. Though its been done on the M3 previously this is the first time we're seeing BMW take preemptive action with its range-toppers, the M5 and M6.
And we haven't actually seen the M6 undergoing testing. So, until now it was — frankly — speculation.
No harm, no foul though. That's because we've got pictures of the FIRST M6 spied sporting the new Competition Package. Note the carbon ceramic big brake kit, note the wheels are same 20-inchers seen on the developmental M5.
As said previously, we expect the package to consist of:
- 15 - 20 horsepower bump, torque TBD
- Top Speed increase, or limiter removed altogether
- Updated suspension
- 20-inch wheels
- Carbon fiber lip spoiler — only spotted on the M6 seen here
- New M steering wheel
