We recently all saw the debut of the BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept. As most folks know by now -- at least in the BMW community -- "concept," really means "close to production."

Though one could argue that the 4-Series Coupe Concept had some significant elements that were strictly there as a conversation piece -- look at the front/rear bumpers and interior -- a good chunk of the product is essentially locked and loaded.

So when we came across these FRESH images of the production 4-Series undergoing testing abroad, we HAD to show them to you.

In this set of images it's very clear that there are two vehicles being testing here and they will follow suit with the current E92 -- the 428i and 435i M Sport package. Note the 428i's one-sided, dual-tipped exhaust and the 435i M Sport's split, dual-tipped exhaust a la the current 335i Coupe.

In addition to those details, check out the front and rear bumpers AND the headlights. It looks like Agent 001's dream of those 3D LED lights will NOT be coming true when these vehicles hit production lines.

The 428i Coupe and Convertible will be powered by the same 2.0L twin turbo inline 4 (N20 engine) as the F30. The N20 engine has just been named one of the 10 best engines by the 2013 Ward's 10 Best Engines List.

The F32 4 Series coupe production begins July 2013 for deliveries starting late summer - early Fall of 2013.
