While It only seems like yesterday, the current-gen Porsche Cayenne has been on the market for a bit of time now. With building pressure coming from the likes of its competition, the brand has to do what's right and keep its vehicle up-to-date.

Considering all the updates to Porsche's available technology, there was quite a bit of work to do.

At this stage we've seen the Cayenne pass through what appears to be the majority of its development cycles. It seems we're in the final leg now and we, frankly, wouldn't be shocked if a press release with images plunks down in the coming days or weeks.

We know this because the latest spy shots show the Cayenne sporting virtually zero camouflage. The only bits that are covered up to fool the lens are the headlights, daytime running lights and rear taillights.

Everything else is left out in the open for prying eyes to see.

Taking that into consideration, it's pretty clear that there's been modifications to the front facade's venting for cooling as well as the rear end's lower valence. Note the much larger dual exhaust tips, which we believe would be fitted on the standard Cayenne and Cayenne S?

Though this is educated speculation, expect the 2014 Panamera's motors to make their way into the Cayenne.
