Aston Martin's DB9 is currently the "conservative" product in the line up.

It doesn't feature wide fenders or any properly distinguishing characteristics. It's just a simple design that has aged tremendously well with a sense of timelessness.

Think of it like a Ralph Lauren polo shirt -- It will always look good for a variety of reasons: It's clean and buttoned up just right.

Now though it appears Aston is tapping into the sportier side of its potential. With the debut of the Vanquish S,, DBS, V8 Vantage S, V12 Vantage, V12 Vantage Zagato, it appears that the British automaker wants to take on a more aggressive look.

Look no further than what is speculated to be the next-gen DB9 undergoing testing. Note it's W I D E rear fenders and sharper-looking snout.


Aston Martin is preparing to release a new version of the DB9, and these pictures reveal its new One-77 and Rapide-inspired design. 

The larger headlights, complete with built-in LEDs are new, along with the more aggressive bumpers and side-skirts. At the rear, there’s more of a lip on the bootlid and the narrow horseshoe lights are clearly inspired by the limited-edition One-77...
