So, uh, now what?
BMW touted around the Active Tourer Concept to the auto shows in the past 12 months and I have to say it's a big yawn. Is it something I want to see? No, not really.
BUT it is a big deal because of a couple reasons:
1) BMW hasn't produced a van — at least in my lifetime.
2) Since it appears BMW isn't going to back down from this effort, it could either be a Herculean vehicle or a complete and utter flop, like the 5-Series GT, from a sales perspective.
Mercedes-Benz's R-Class was dropped not too long ago and it doesn't appear to be getting rebuilt anytime soon so that has to make you wonder if BMW is on a path to failure.
