See, I told you if you stuck with me I'd have MORE information about the all-new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 set to appear at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
Popping up on Instagram this week was a very interesting photo that showed an engine block. The thing is, this is the rumored motor set to debut in the all-new Corvette Z06 bound for Detroit.
Given that the all-new Z06 is speculated to produce over 600 ponies, we think this V8 with a supercharger would do the trick. Another interesting bit: note the "LT4" badges on the top there?
No confirmation on how legit this is, but it definitely makes for an interesting conversation.
...American Velocity Performance posted a photo on Instagram this morning of what it says is a supercharged V-8 slated to power the Z06.
Unlike the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that popped up in October, this one has clearly-identifiable "LT4" badges.
As with previous generations, the Z06 will be a step up in performance from the base and Z51 Corvettes. We still expect a ZR1 replacement to emerge and become the top model in the Corvette lineup, though...
