Probably the best vehicle that Toyota makes is the Prius.

I say that because its a vehicle that's purpose built, doesn't give buyers a false hope or sense of reality and it delivers on a consistent basis. It's arguably the best hybrid on the market, still. But it's begun to age and we suspect that Toyota can do better with all the new technological advancements that have come about since the third-gen Prius made its big-time debut.

And that's why it's starting to test its fourth-generation Prius set to come in 2015. This is very exciting news as Toyota will be ramping up to show off the latest hardware and tech for the hybrid market. Considering the Prius leads the way in the tech department, it is a crucial launch that will display what's in store for other Toyota and Lexus products.

Though its exterior is, predictably, heavily camouflaged, it's greenhouse doesn't seem to differ too much from the current-gen product. Where you will note a significant change is inside. Once again, significantly camo'd up to keep out prying eyes, the most distinguishable element is the dashboard, which looks more spartan, simplified and, from my perspective, European.

According to Auto Express, its exterior design may have been hinted at via the 2012 Detroit Auto Show's Toyota NS4 Concept (pictured below).

Rumor has it this Prius may feature a part-time four-wheel-drive system but this can't be substantiated in any way.
