I have to say, when it comes to great cars, the last generation Cadillac CTS-V is up there for me. Having had the chance to get behind the wheel multiple times, I've driven the last-gen CTS-V with and without snow tires, in coupe, four door and wagon form, automatic and manual gearboxes, and the list goes on. For brevity, let me get to the point:

It was always stunning.

And though I know a lot of folks would find it blasphemous, I would have rather had a CTS-V over the E60 M5 and E63 AMG. The Audi RS7 wasn't out yet so it's not fair to compare. The BRUTAL power of the V plus the fact it featured a manual transmission with power sent to the rear made it a gem.

Though nowadays it hasn't aged too well. That's because all the competition has updated cars with all-new technology and more high quality cockpits. The good news is that the all-new CTS came out and, obviously, that means it's time for the third-gen CTS-V to reveal itself.

These photos are the FIRST and ONLY snaps of the all-new V. We assume it will be a bit of time before it reaches showrooms. This will leave plenty of time to speculate just how far General Motors will take this car.

This has us wondering: WHAT do YOU think the all-new CTS-V will NEED to take on the likes of the all-new M5, E63 AMG and RS7?
