In this very cool spy shot, you'll notice relatively quick that this all-new MINI Cooper will lose its centrally mounted speedometer. In my opinion, that's a good move. It was a style piece and, frankly, an annoying one at that.

If you take a peek elsewhere in the photo, you'll definitely notice something else. Hell, I can even spot a third little easter egg. Jeez, I even see a fourth!

Mini’s trademark large central speedo has been axed for the next generation of models, according to these exclusive spy pictures.

The interior of the new Mini Cooper model spied here has largely the same look as the current model's, including the large, circular display for the centre console. But the large speedo that runs around the circumference of the current car's display is absent in this development model.
