Though some Ferrari LaFerraris have been spotted in public around the globe, it has yet to make its way into the hands of the motoring press.
By now I am sure you've heard of the absurd threat levied against reviewers given the chance to get behind the wheel — wait, or else.
As chronicled by other writers, it's like dealing with the mafia except they don't break your knees, at least physically.
Ferrari's supercar better beat the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder's times, that's all I am going to say.
Well, even if it doesn't, it appears that the boys and girls in Maranello have a wild card up their sleeve. That, my friends, would be the supposed Ferrari LaFerrari FXX — that name is pure speculation, lifted from the original FXX (Enzo chassis).
At this point there's no official word on what Ferrari would like to do with the LaFerrari FXX. It could do what it did last 'go around and use it as a test bed for developmental purposes. I am sure several dozen mega-wealthy gentlemen racers would pony up the bucks to participate in another series of Ferrari's technological evolution.
These FIRST spy shots capture the LaFerrari FXX working its way around the track in all 'er glory. We just wish there was video so we could hear the damn thing.
