When Mercedes-Benz introduced the then all-new SLS AMG, it was an exciting affair. For those of us who didn't have the chance to see the über rare 300SL "Gullwing," it was an event for this retro wannabe to make production.

I remember the first time I drove it. It was an interesting experience climbing over that massive door sill and sliding into the massively bolstered seats. It is a wiiiiide vehicle but even more interesting was how the SLS feels as though it's ready to bite back if you're not careful with the throttle.

Now although Mercedes has updated the vehicle recently, it appears that the automaker is preparing some more updates in relatively short order. According to word from across the pond, Benz is preparing a Final Edition. It seems a bit hasty but given it has already done a standard car, the updated GT and a Black Series, maybe it is time to phase this baby out.

From the spy shots, not all that much appears to be different aside from the masked front valence. Do YOU see anything?
