One trend that has been running rampant in the luxury car kingdom is the newfound adoration for wagons. While this is good news for enthusiasts and auto writers, who have an obsession with tarted up wagons, it strikes me as peculiar.
Though there is some utility with wagons, it's not nearly as spacious and versatile as a sport-utility vehicle. In addition, most luxury wagons aren't achieving significant fuel efficiency over its SUV counterparts. When you consider the superb ride quality, extra space and car-like drive many of today's SUVs have, it just doesn't seem to add up.
Why wagons?
Anyway, it's patently obvious after these spy images, which came from overseas, that Jaguar is itching to get into this race.
I guess that means Jaguar will not be producing an SUV in the near-term future.
