One of the more anticipated cars hitting the market in the next couple of years is the all-new Maserati Ghibli. While we've heard rumors about Porsche cooking up something exciting to take on cars like the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, we think that the Italians have what it takes to bring something to the market that will be earth shattering.
And a brand like Maserati has the tradition, exudes the emotion and will likely look the part to make us turn our head.
Now we're seeing an all-new set of spy shots of the Ghibli undergoing testing in Europe. It's buried under some heavy camouflage but we're still excited to see the auto coming along nicely.

These are the first spy shots of the prototype for the new, smaller Maserati, spied testing in Germany. The upcoming Ghibli is code named "M157" and will aim to compete with models like BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class. It is rumored that the next Ghibli will be built on a modified version of the Chrysler 300 chassis and will be feature more Chrysler technology than Maserati.
