Now if someone asked me "Hey, Agent00R, what sport-utility vehicle would you buy with unlimited funds," I'd be hard pressed to think of anything else aside from the BMW X5M. I just love the way it drives and sounds. It's a monster.

Obviously though with the all-new X5 out, it's time for it to get switched out for the new and improved version. That's where the all-new X5M comes in.

Given that BMW wasn't exactly gamechanging in its updates, we're expecting the vehicle to receive the essential makeover you saw with the standard variant — slightly revised exterior, updated all-new interior — and a boost in power. As of now it seems the car community has absolutely NO idea of how much more power it will make, but we're thinking it will be a touch north of the M5 and M6's 560 horsepower mark and the X5M will drop a couple pounds.

According to the latest reports, the all-new M vehicle will drop at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show next month. To say that we're excited would be an understatement.

This X5 M prototype features the accents we've come to expect from BMW M -- M front fascia styling with large air intakes and double-slatted kidney grilles, sportier sideskirts and rear diffuser, blue M brakes, cross drilled rotors, quad exhaust pipes and M style wheels. It appears however, that the F85 X5 M will not carry over the M gills from the current X5 M. The only visible embellishment on the front fenders appear to be air breather vents, which may turn out to be more aggressively styled than the standard X5 vents once the camouflage comes off next month.
