Slowly but surely, the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA is doing its striptease.

Spotted during its developmental testing in Germany, the upcoming sexed up entry-level Benz is making its way through the testing lifecycle.

Last time we saw it, the CLA was heavily cladded and wearing some serious camo. Now, however, it has a matte black look and some of the thicker panels have been removed. Its roofline is clearly visible and overall shape is coming into play.

As it's readily pointed out, this car will largely be based on the CSC Concept but obviously toned down for production purposes.

The new Mercedes has been captured by our spy photographers before, but is now beginning to lose its camouflage and body cladding ahead of its planned production debut next year.

The shape of the CLA was previewed by the Concept Style Coupé at the Beijing motor show last month. As promised by Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche, the production version does justice to the concept version, apart from a few minor visual features that added presence to the show car.
