Of the slew of new vehicles in showrooms today, I remember a handful — quite clearly — that caused a very strong reaction here for the Spies here. One of them was the Hyundai Veloster, which earned the nickname "Velosturd," from some here in the comments.

Brutal.

For Hyundai's first go at building a proper Volkswagen Golf GTI competitor, we thought it did a pretty bang up job. It definitely looked different from the others in the space and its asymmetric design that allows for passengers to enter the backseat via a third door — a la Saturn and Mazda RX-8 — was a practical little touch.

As is the cycle for auto design though, its time is up. Now Hyundai has to give it a bit of a tweak to keep it interesting. Seen here sporting some serious camouflage and cladding, it looks like there's more than a simple nip/tuck going on here.

That said, IF you were in a leadership role at the "H" brand, what would YOU pay attention to and ensure got revamped in the Veloster's refresh?
