Although it seems sacrilegious, Bentley will be producing a sport-utility vehicle. In a day and age when cars like the Porsche Cayenne have saved its brand, it only seems like a no brainer that Bentley would make a vehicle like this. It was only a matter of time, in this writer's opinion.

Considering the swell of love for autos like the Land Rover Range Rover, we think that adding another super capable British SUV will be welcomed by the market. With rumors swirling about a cost of a quarter million dollars, it certainly won't come cheap; however, that hasn't slowed sales of the company's Continental GT variants.

Now, the BIG news with this story is that an Autocar reader has spotted the all-new SUV, dubbed the Falcon for now, on U.K. roads during testing. If you take a good, hard look you'll note that many details not previously seen are now visible though the vehicle is painted matte black and has some cladding.

...Changes compared to previous development cars are small, but new chrome detailing around the large front grille can be clearly seen. Company bosses have already revealed the car's styling has been finalised, with Bentley design boss Luc Donckerwolke saying it will have no relation to the original EXP 9 F concept car.

The SUV is likely to cost from around £140,000 when it arrives in showrooms. Company boss Wolfgang Dürheimer has previously said the model would start where other luxury SUVs, like the Range Rover, finish. Officials have also targeted a top speed of 200mph for the car's launch...
