Spotted at this past Saturday's Cars and Coffee in Irvine, California was Porsche's all-new 918 Spyder. You may know it as the car slated to go up against the likes of the all-new McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari.

Cars and Coffee has become the go-to car meetup in SoCal as manufacturers have been catering to this crowd in recent years. All-new prototypes are brought there well before their launch date. Two examples come to mind: the 2011 Lexus LFA Prototype and the 2015 Ford Mustang were both previewed at the Irvine event.

If I were an automaker, this is where I'd like to display my wares. That's because the crowd is always a good size and you can count on the fact these folks have a few bills to spend as there is ALWAYS heavy duty metal at this event.

Now apparently Porsche decided to make everyone's Saturday a bit brighter with an all-new 918 Spyder. Most folks haven't seen the car outside of an auto show let alone get up close and personal with it. You'll note that this car is painted a dark blue that I am pretty confident NO ONE has seen before outside the souls of Stuttgart. Well, that was until now.

So, I have to ask: Is this dark blue the BEST color the 918 Spyder has been seen in so far? Are you a bigger fan of pearl white, silver or the Martini livery?
