In recent weeks, undoubtedly one of the most photographed and rendered vehicles has been the Range Rover Sport. Not only is it a tremendously popular product but it also has left a lot of folks in the automotive biz with cloud with a question mark inside -- you know, like cartoons.

That's because from some spy images, it's painfully apparent that some design cues were inspired by the Evoque; however, other shots suggest it appears more like the flagship Range Rover product.

I think the latest shots are the best images yet though. That's because when you blow them up and really look at the details closely, it starts adding up fast.

Take, for example, the front valence, which is directly inspired by the new Evoque. Then the headlights are roughly the same as the flagship product. It's side profile is Evoque-ish and if you really look at those taillights, under the camouflage it's quite obvious that they will be inspired by those bejeweled LEDs from the Evoque.

To me it's pretty clear, the Sport will carry a more substantial size and presence -- like that of its BIG brother -- but will inherit design characteristics from its little brother, the Evoque.

The Range Rover Sport largely mimics the design of its bigger brother, but will have a different front bumper with revised air intakes. It also features a large rear spoiler above the tailgate window.

The front and rear overhangs are also shorter than those on the Range Rover, giving a more athletic stance.
