Porsche's all-new 911 GT3 has made some serious waves in the auto community. Just about everyone that's gotten behind the wheel has considered it one of the best sports cars being built this year. Though it had a major hiccup with the fact all of the motors have to be replaced, it still hasn't swayed folks' opinion that it is a damned good car in an ultra competitive year.

You know Porsche though. It simply can't stop with a standard GT3 variant. It needs to up the ante with the GT3 RS. As we've seen in previous generation GT3 RS' this car is expected to have a bump in power, take the weight savings a bit more seriously, and be equipped with better aerodynamics in form of an enhanced front valence and massive rear spoiler.

In the 991 generation it's likely the car will receive a wider rear track and/or improved cooling because as you can see the vehicle's sporting the rear end of a Turbo/Turbo S, which provides both of those elements.

What impresses me in this footage is how damn quick the GT3 RS is moving through the corners. I mean this thing is carrying some impressive speed. Considering we've seen other footage of vehicles doing testing on these very same corners, I can't remember seeing a car run as quickly through these bits of the Nürburgring.

Here’s a proper, longer video of the upcoming Porsche 991 GT3 RS undergoing thorough testing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. There are in fact two prototypes to be seen in this video, not sure if there’s a difference but the sound and looks indicate there are no differences between the two prototypes. As can be heard from this video the GT3 RS seems to be NA after all even though rumours suggested otherwise. The prototypes shown here also use the PDK automatic transmission. Enjoy the video!
