If you were to think of one of the most unstylish and, frankly, out of touch sport-utility vehicles on the market you'd probably name something that isn't the Land Rover Freelander.
That's because it's that far off the radar.
It's not that it's a bad SUV. It drives like a car, has — unsurprisingly — off-road capability and some utility space. The problem is it looks like it's from 1995 when compared with the sophisticated looks of its siblings, namely the Range Rover Evoque.
But do not despair. It appears that Jaguar Land Rover has saved possibly the best for last. In the footage below, it's clear that Land Rover is testing out an all-new model that doesn't look like the upcoming Jaguar SUV or anything else, really.
Though the vehicle is heavily camouflaged, it appears that it will bear a resemblance similar to the Evoque. Instead of being so sexy though, expect the Freelander replacement to have more headroom and utility in the hatch. Perhaps this will put the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA in check since they're all quite small.
