Porsche's volume product, the Cayenne, was recently snapped undergoing testing at the world famous Nurburgring. Are we surprised? Not quite as this is their home base AND there's good reason to be testing.
Though it only seems like it came onto the market yesterday, it has been around for a couple of years now. And, in addition, you have to remember that Porsche recently made some engine updates to its successful Panamera range.
It's pretty textbook that those updates will not only make their way into the Cayenne but those all-new engines will as well.
The entry-level, base V6 produces 310 horsepower now. The former V8 has been replaced with a bi-turbo six good for 420 horsepower, the GTS can be had with 440 horsepower and the Turbo is now pushing out 520 ponies.
Expect this to take hold when the Cayenne's refreshed model hits showrooms.
No word on when that will be, exactly.
