they should call it TT S

not STT which sounds like 'STD'.

YES, the TTS will have the 3.6 liter V6 with 302 hp. The TTRS will have a 2.5 iter 5 cylinder turbocharged engine with 350 hp

Only 302 HP...?
Kinda disappointed because I'm sure that TTRS will be
well over-priced compare to M coupe and Cayman S.

I have read that from many sources, that seem to be very confident about their information. These sources aren't hard to find. (Hint, some popular Audi forums)
The Cayman S goes to about 70K, not TT will cost that much, as the current RS4 can be had for less. Remeber that the TT will be light. I don't know about the prices yet, but I think that they will be competitive. Also, the performance will be there for sure. I expect 5.5 seconds 0-60 for the regular 3.2 liter V6, about 5 seconds for the TTS, and under 5 seconds for the TTRS.

Should be renamed as 'Tits'. Because this will be the demographic this car is directed to (or at least should be).

You know what is funny, most BMW 3 series that I see are driven by the same demographic enjoying their awesome rear wheel drive going 25 mph on their way to Starbucks. That is BMW's Ultimate Driving Machine hard at work.

LOL.. That is so true.... I don't see that many guys driving around in the new 3 series...Maybe some
high school students who try to show off how much their parents make... and debadge their 325i because
their parents didnt buy them a 330i.

The S4 is wildly overpriced at $55-60K. How much will Auchi want for the STT?

Of course, the above-configured car does not include tiptronic ($1,200) or avant body style ($1,000), and 2007 prices include things like DTM package which is $1,500, etc.

Comparing an S4 to an M3 is not apt, given that no one outside of the Audi die-hard faithful considers the 2 cars comparable in handling or performance. Numb steering, nose heavy, not as sharp, less visceral feel, these are the ways car enthusiasts compare the S4 vs. the M3. So, it deserves to cost more, and is in fact equal to the S4.

You Audi guys are so itching to argue, you don't stop to consider the thing you're arguing about. I merely said the S4 is wildly overpriced for what it is. So is an A4 with s-line trim at $43K.

TTS, the name, all it needs is a "i".
With the TT, where does the A5 fit, because the shape (from photoshops) seems to resemble the TT, which would means it would kill A5 sales, to similar a vehicle.

efoxS4 .. or stripperS4 ..

You're comparing options to no options, which is what you're freaking out about me doing. I optioned an S4 like a normal $50+k car. You're driving off the lot with no sunroof and thinking you got a bargain compared to a 330i. Your very identity is being challenged, I understand.

60K+ for a S4 is nuts...especially when it shares the same underpinnings with the Jetta.

No-one is getting owned.

In terms of being a drivers car, the M3 comes off trumps against the autobahn cruiser S4.

That fact cannot be denied. Although the S4 is better built, has a more quality interior and is more cossetting to drive.

SixxFive; That is the most idiotic argument I've read today.
The S4 shares nothing with the Jetta, not even the A4 does. It shows that you have not driven neother of these 2 cars.
For 07, Sunroof is now standard on the S4.

sixxfive - again with the VW comments
the B6/B7 platform shares no VW platform

The Old passat was based on a streeched B6 Platform but now VW has a new platform from the Beetle/Jetta/ Passat that audi doesnt use in the A4

you can say the baby lambo uses Audis A8 body / and Spiker uses Audi Engines

The tt uses the vw platform but shares about 17 % of the platform and is 500 lbs less

In '07 a sunroof is standard on the S4 ... because they jacked up the base price $1,100. You're paying for it.

And as for the auto press: "Even with terrific V8 power and the reassurance of all-wheel drive, this car's $57,000 sticker overshadows it all."

Audi doesn't send stripper S4's to be reviewed, so don't be surprised if the S4 gets an expensive rep.

10Best Cars: Audi S4 Quattro - 10 Best Cars
This four-door is all about mainlining adrenaline to the left front seat.
January 2004

In a way, the Audi S4 represents a page from Detroit's '60s muscle-car hymnal: V-8 power in a small car. But the music has become more sophisticated in this modern sequel. Sure, the S4 can really run: 0 to 60 in five seconds flat. With 340 horsepower on tap from its 4.2-liter 40-valve aluminum V-8 and a slick six-speed manual transmission transferring the power, you'd expect that. But unlike the old-time Detroit tire shredders, it can also turn in without even a hint of reluctance, lend a reassuring sense of security to high-speed cornering (thanks to its Quattro all-wheel drive), change directions without inducing motion sickness, and stop in a serious hurry without drama.
