SPYSHOT: The next face for the Audi A8?
Even though this is a drawing of the evolution of the Audi A5 coupe, internal sources have confirmed with us that the face on this drawing is quite similar to the face that will appear on the next generation Audi A8 in 2009.

We're told to also look for hints from the R8...

I think the sketch is very aggressive. Perhaps it is a little too aggressive for a full size luxo sedan. It would, however, be great for an S8 model. It looks stunning either way.

Sweet! It would be great if it looked like this- as well as having a shapelier body. I love the taillights, and those shouldn't change much, but otherwise, the car should be more "out there."

Doesn't mean I don't love the current-gen, though.

I think it looks great. I happen to like everything about the A8 except for the front end, and the narrow trunk. I thought the previous front end was much better looking, but this one could be the best looking yet, in my book.

Hmm... This could do wonders for Audi! They still have a little of that "anomymous" (read: bland) look to it! Making it more aggresive looking could really make it stand out from the crowd! But I don't think it would be right to put it on the A8! that needs to be subtle! The next A4, on the other hand, would look just right with that kind of front! Put that on the A4/5 and an engine to slot inbetween the A5 3.2 and S5 and i might just choose one of those instead of a 335Ci when i get my next car!

I agree. A8 needs an "understated elegance" look. This would work wonders for the A4 and A6- and I do hear rumblings that the new A4 will be quite aggressive.

Even the current A4 is hot-looking, especially with the S-Line package. I was jealous of the driver when I saw my first A4 S-Line Titanium Edition. It's an über-cool package, featuring matte-black paint, black window trim, dark grey BBS rims, the S-Line bodykit, tinted windows and a black interior with piano black trim. It also has the sexiest-looking exhausts this side of an S4/RS4.

He was probably jealous of me, too. (-:

I think it will not have this front end, it is way to aggressive for the A8. Not that the A8 itself is not aggressive, it's an amazing vehicle but I doubt this would be the front end.

Audi A8 is overall a great vehicle. My father owns A8L 4.2 and he absolutley loves it. I am planning to get one in about 6 months, cannot wait. In my opinion it is the best in its class.
