To drum up sales, Saab Cars North America is dropping prices for its 2010 9-3s by 4% to 12%.

Saab, which is now owned by Spyker Cars NV, launches its redesigned 9-5 sedan this summer.

The 9-3s are expected to arrive this month at 218 US dealers after a delivery hiatus of six months. From $31,135 for the 2009 version, the base model 2010 9-3 sport sedan is now priced from $29,725, including delivery. Meanwhile, the base price for the 9-3 SportCombi wagon dropped to $31,155 from $32,565 in the 2009 model year. The 2009 9-3 convertible is priced from $42,905, while its 2010 base price is $40,815. The new 9-3X crossover starts at $37,800.
