GM is my favorite car company also but this article stinks. Obviously written by a recent graduate in journalism or marketing communications who knows very little about cars. The title "GM's Saturn Vue: finally, a winner" is a crock. It would have been more truthful to say "Saturn VUE: an unexpected loser".

My wife wants a small SUV and the fabulous Saturn Outlook is too big for her. We looked at the 2008 VUE about a week ago and walked out of the showroom in disgust. The front seat cushions are far too short and the interior plastic is truly el cheapo. The front passenger seat lacks proper seat height adjustment and I banged my head on the roof getting into the vehicle. This vehicle generally looks OK but that silly side vent for the engine compartment does not look functional -- it looks like it was just stuck on for visual effect.

I'd like to see some heads roll at GM for this fiasco.

No, this is not really GM? This is a German car with an American badge on it. Opel should get all the credit here.

"The Vue compact sport-utility was developed in Germany for global markets, and it reflects the higher expectations of those markets. Take, for example, its looks: clean, sophisticated, athletic, with a steeply raked windshield, bowed roofline and a racy mesh vent behind the wheel arches. Had this vehicle been designed at another time in the GM regime, I can easily imagine product planners insisting on boxier proportions to achieve some irrelevant superiority in interior cargo cubes."

If pepole stop having their minds made up about already about who makes the best car and just look for themselvs they would find gm has a descent line up of autos that are good evreyday drivers they may not be bmw 5 sereis, but also they dont carry the same price tag.
