It's been a while since we've heard anything about Tesla’s first model, the often troubled Roadster which, although far from perfect, still represented quite the improvement in EV technology. After all, it really only had to be better than the GM EV1 (that wasn’t too hard). In any event, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has just stated that a "fairly exciting update" for the Roadster will be announced sometime this week. Musk initially said back in June that a Roadster update was in the cards, but various "crisis issues" were delaying things.
