So how's the rear seat legroom on the new 3-Series convertible? Exclusive photos
Here's a good look at the rear seat legroom on the new BMW 3-Series convertible.
As a frame of reference, the gentleman sitting in the back seat told me he was six foot three so although it's pretty tight, most people could still fit back there if they had to.
And the front seat was back pretty far (see photos).
Also check out the cool fold down rear seat that's new on this generation convertible.

the seat folds down in case you need to use the backseat to carry large objects that won't fit in the trunk.

Wow. My 9-3 (2004 convertible) is much wider back there and has more leg and knee room. But it dosen't have a fold down armrest. Or a trunk pass-thru. Or a stunningly beautiful body. (But then again the Bimmer is much more expensive).

Well... I've seen your 9-3. It's pretty tight back there- much worse than the S4. This seems pretty good for a four-seat convertible.
And about price/style? The 9-3 convertible starts at over $40,000, and I don't think it looks half bad.

i would agree there is nothing cheap about 9-3 convertible, but i would have to say they are good looking, the best looking thing saab has,i like thelast generation convertiblebetter they were more unique, but both are nice looking. but this bmw is good looking glad to see it has some space in back, i have an older model one and its pretty cramped

saab ... that is like seeing a ufo for the first time. First off, the seat in the saab doesnt go as far back as it does on the BMW. I am still amazed that you brought Saab into this conversation.

relax man, he didn't say anything negative. He called the car "stunningly beautiful" in fact. Chill.

But it is still nice that BMW gave the people in the back a chance at being comfortable for those short drives.

After Lexus comes out with it's convertible copy of the BMW, the Lexus will have less legroom.

well im pretty sure the g6 does have more rear leg room, if it doesnt it wasnt desighned well,it was a larger coupe so should be a larger convertible, but i mean seriously who would be cross shopping a 40+ compact bmw convertible, and a 29k midsize pontiac convertible, so pointless to bring it up

hmm, would strapping your head to the front of the car before driving into a truck also crush your skull like rice paper?

back seat = cheaper insurance.
No one will ever sit there, ever. The driver's seat is actually almost touching the back seat. :)
