What your looking at today, is a Spanish electric supercar concept by the name of Volar-e. The car was manufactured by Applus+ Idiada in just 4 months and was funded by the European Commission. The car was previewed at a track called Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona, Spain.
Applus+ Idiada claims that the Volar-e is the most powerful electric supercar in the world with a total of 1,000 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. The power derives from 4 electric motors, one powering each wheel. The Spanish car maker also states that the Volar-e will do a top speed of 186 mph and 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds. Whats more amazing is that it only takes 15-20 minutes to fully charge the 38 kilowatt-hour battery.
