That car looks kinda like a cl. I'm not sure you can really tell from the picture but it seems that the car only has two doors, maybe it's not the C-class.

hmm.. i agree, the rear does look very similar to the cl.

could this be a glimpse into the redesign of the clk? would make sense, as the current clk-class design is starting to show it's age.

i think i see a lot of design cues of the current clk in the new 3-coupe. everyone bitches when the original clk changed, but loved the new 3-coupe...hmmm

very true, there are definitely ques from the clk on the new e92.

the clk is an amazing car. i've had the chance to drive around in a clk500 with the amg kit for a few hours and i loved it. the interior is absolutely stunning. the e92 is definitely an amazing machine, too. virtually lag free, ample power at your disposal, and the crisp handling put it together quite well.

i wonder what they are going to do with the next gen clk model. if it's anything liek the cl, it'll be a beauty.

we will get an idea of the clk when the c hits the showrooms. i think it will be difficult to alter the current model, and improve on design asthetics. but that's why i'm an engineer rather than a designer.

"I never ever liked the C class since it's inception. I much preferred having a 190E and then a 300E, that was a better formula in my opinion."

please elaborate.

i think the 190e and 300e were great, but i also thought the c-class was a proper evolution of the 190e. if there was one styling i didn't prefer, it was the oval-light styling that arrive stateside in the e-class for 1996.

to get a manual 190e you will likely be purchasing the 85-87 cosworth 16v. although all 190e's had the stick shift as the basic transmission, i think i've only ever seen 2 or 3 (non-16v).

good luck with your search. you may be better off finding an automatic 190e with a blown tranny, but a good body and engine, and instaling a stick shift.

that 2.6 liter i-6 has plenty of torque for that size car. enjoy

There was a recent photo shoot of the new c class in South Africa so this makes sense...

The RS4 probably wins. more performance, handling and looks better than the C55. I never really liked how the current C class looked. Hopefully they can make it look more sporty or aggressive.

The back of this new C does look better, The tail lights are more modern looking and I like the double exhaust tips.

German cars are good cars, but all of there models are the same but in different sizes, small, medium and large. Does each company have one designer?

they try to maintain a theme amongst models so customers can associate the brand with a given styling flavor. it has it's ups and downs.

I really like this! They're making it very CL-esque, as others have said, and the CL is stunningly beautiful.

I hope more of their products look this good.

The question that remains: how does it perform?

The tail lights look like the SLK's lights. Not too nice from these pictures.

And the LS460 doesn't have fender flares because the entire body is a bloat.

Disagree a bit, when released the car will look good, not great just good THEN when the model refresh comes out in 4 years..BAM!..it will be a real beast. For some reason Mercedes just can't release a first year that looks complete..mark my words it will be missing that extra something...my guess is that it will be lacking the aggressive sporting look the current version had after its refresh...Mercedes please please prove me wrong..I want to be wrong but I fear the worst..
