Spies get the first official pics of the new BMW X6
OK...We just couldn't wait to break the embargo on the first shots anywhere of the REAL BMW X6.

Wait a minute!

We didn't break the embargo this time, BMW did!

They made the mistake of leaking the Bangle video to websites like ours...

So we just couldn't resist the temptation to use all the digital tools at our disposal, to pretend we're like the lab experts on CSI Miami.

And the result is our graphics department extracting all the sneak peeks of the new BMW X6 from the video, cleaning them up and posting them into this gallery.

Basically, we got tired of stopping and slowing down the video to get a peek ourselves!

Enjoy!

p.s. A special shoutout from the Spies to our homeboy C. Dog Bangle! Big dog, you got a real winner here!

Yeah but we don't really get to see anything new. Overall shape and trademark light rings. Good video but not really exciting pics.

When you broke the S class news, it was good, but since then not much....

Trust us, this is going to one badass looking ride when you see all the jewelry on it that has been camoed...those little touches make the vehicle.

Just take a look at the re-freshed E350 with the new wheels and chrome accents...gorgeous!

We suspect you'll feel the same when you see the real shots next week in Frankfurt.

This is going to give Infiniti one massive headache!

This is one car that's going to be highly dependant on a nice set of wheels. The X5 3.0 rims would make this ride looks boring.

some how the silhouette and cuts look much more appealing than they did on the spy photos.

I think Chris is brilliant...I realize he is polarizing, but I can't think of another Design Chief that has had as much or as lasting an impact as Mr. Bangle.

I respect him for pushing the envelope and challenging us - and BMW for not always playing it "safe". Kudos!!

On to more serious matters, the X6 headlights probably have the best headlight/grille pair on a current BMW. Too bad it has that funky hunchback.

Chris Bangle, you are ahead of your time. The world is not ready for you. At first, many are shocked by your designs. Some even go as far to say they are ugly.

Then, what happens? Everyone copies your design elements. Look at the Z4 design and the highly criticized iDrive. Now, everyone's got their OWN version of iDrive. I've seen other design ideas for BMW and they look unappealing and outdated. No, I like your bold, cutting-edge designs. Other car manufacturers do too based on their imitations. If you weren't the way you are, we would call you Toyota and people would criticize you for having lost your "edge". Obviously, Japanese car buyers don't place too much emphasis on styling. So Chris, let's see what you have in store next!

You are spot on.

But that doesn't change the fact that his creations are HORRID!

Chris could rebadge the Pontiac Aztek as a BMW and have people defending it.

Oh wait...

I'll say it again, this car is ugly. The front and interior might be nice, but the back of the car just kills it.

FOR THE LAST TIME, YOU ARE NOT A DESIGNER.

Your comments on a car's styling are about as insightful as an encyclopedia written in invisible ink.

I think this might be a flop.. It might look good but I don't see the average consumer buying this.. (I could be totally wrong and this could be a big hit.. just my initial opinion..)
