The upcoming F34 BMW 3 Series GT was spied once again during winter testing. Still sporting the usual psychedelic camouflage, the F34 test mule reveals a small retractable rear spoiler.

Similar to the MINI Coupe and Roadster, and various cars from other automakers, the rear wing automatically extends at certain speeds offering more downforce and therefore increased stability. Also, the rear wing allows for a design of the car that sits lower to provide optimal air flow.

BMW defines the retractable rear spoiler as an active aerodynamic component that is expected to come to future models as well.

The part is operated by small electric motors therefore not adding much weight to the overall package.

In addition to the retractable rear spoiler, the spy photos show a panoramic glass roof that extends over almost the entire length of the roof. Apart from this unique feature to the 3 GT, the equipment lists and options will be similar to the recently introduced F30 3 Series Sedan.

The car has a high belt line that completely wraps around the car, therefore allowing the roof to be lower and sleeker. The core idea of a Gran Turismo vehicle remains, traveling in style and luxury.
